Who we are

We're a group of residents and dog lovers living in Pune. What started as a few neighbors feeding and looking after the community dogs around our society grew into something more organized — tracking which dogs were vaccinated, which needed sterilization, which vet treated whom, and making sure that knowledge didn't just live in one person's head or a scattered set of WhatsApp messages.

RonPaw is that effort, put into one place — built and run by volunteers, not a formal shelter or NGO with paid staff, just people in this community who care about the dogs living alongside us.

What we do

We look after the community (stray) dogs of Nyati Equatorial and nearby dogs of Bavdhan. That means:

• Vaccination — keeping every dog's rabies and other vaccinations current, with dates and expiry tracked so nothing gets missed.
• Sterilization — coordinating and funding sterilization for community dogs, which is the single most effective way to manage population humanely.
• Medical care — arranging treatment through a network of vets we know and trust, and keeping a record of it.
• Individual dog profiles — every dog we track gets an auto-assigned microchip ID, a photo gallery, a health history, and even a family tree showing who's related to whom.
• Adoption — helping dogs who are ready for a home find one, through our adoption listings.
• Events — organizing and documenting sterilization camps and vaccination drives with our vet partners.
• Transparency — publishing an open expense record of everything we spend, and where the money for it comes from.

It's a small, volunteer-run project — not a polished corporate platform — but everything on it reflects real dogs, real vets, and real records from our own neighborhood.
